New Bridges Ballet

New Bridges Ballet is a contemporary ballet company based in New York City.  We can be seen dancing in parks, bars, art galleries, anywhere you would not expect to see ballet.  Strong classical ballet technique is used as a base for our new edgy and exciting performance style.  New Bridges Ballet collaborates with other artists (heavy metal bands, avant-garde performers, pop-art painters, etc.) for a full dynamic experience.

Claire Christine Sargenti
Artistic Director, Dancer, Choreographer

Claire received her early ballet training in San Diego, California under Nancy Robinson, Benjamin Houk, Sara Viale, and Erlends Zieminch. She later moved to New York City to dance as a trainee at the Joffrey Ballet School.  She is now the Artistic Director of New Bridges Ballet and the persona of the “classically trained rebel,” the Metal Ballerina. She has performed soloist and principal roles all across America with various American companies, and has guest performed with the Royal Ballet of London and the Beijing Opera Ballet. Her choreography has been featured in many esteemed venues in New York and California.

Claire also works as a freelance artist, writer, actress, model, and performance artist.  Her paintings have been featured in galleries in both California and New York.  Her musical "Aces" was performed at New York University.  She has appeared in several regional musical theater performances and in an episode of HBO's How To Make It In America and NBC's 30 Rock.  She has written and posed for several local art magazines and galleries.

She would like to thank God, her family, and friends for their faithful support.
